To quickly access you added links, Allinkster provides search functionality that can be accessed by pressing Ctrl + F or
selecting Find Link from the context menu of the System Tray Icon. If the main window is hidden, you will see another ‘Find Link’
window where you can search bookmarks, otherwise you can do the same from the ‘Quick Launch’ section of the main window. Allinkster
provides automatic suggestions as you type for faster searching.
In the find link window, if the selected link has a default browser set, it will be launched in that browser. The launch browser
can also be selected by clicking on the little square button next to the 'Launch' button which will bring up a context menu with
the browser list as show in the picture. After selecting the browser from this list, the little button will have the icon of the
selected browser. This does not change the global default browser. This change is temporary only. If the browser is not selected
in this fashion and the link doesn't have a browser set, the square button will have the browser that is the global default browser
set in the main window.
Only links in the current workspace are searchable in this operation.
Finding Links by date range:
To find links that were added within a date range, tick the 'Search by date' checkbox on the 'Find Link' window and specify the
'From' and 'To' dates. Typing in the search box will now only list the links within the specified date range.
Only links in the current workspace are searchable in this operation.
Searching online:
To search online instead of searching links within Allinkster, tick the 'Web Search' checkbox in the Quick Launch section or the
'Search on the internet instead' checkbox on the 'Find Link' window. Depending on what you have set in the
'Autosuggest in online searches' option in your settings, Allinkster will automatically
provide search suggestions as you type, provided your computer is connected to the internet. The image on the right shows an
autosuggest example.
