There are several ways of adding a single bookmark / shortcut:
Clicking the ‘Add’ button or selecting File > Add
or Pressing Ctrl + N or selecting ‘Add Link’ from the context menu of the System Tray Icon will bring up the 'Add Link' window. Either paste
the shortcut or type it in (automatic suggestions are provided for local files/folders), give it a nickname if you wish, select a default browser
to open this link with and click ‘Add’. Note that 'Default Browser' only holds when adding a web link/url.
Copy an item or it’s path and click the ‘Paste’ button or select Actions > ‘Paste from Clipboard’ or press Ctrl + Shift + V on your keyboard
or select ‘Paste from Clipboard’ option from the context menu of the System Tray Icon.
Drag a selected item and drop it on to the main window.
If you have enabled 'Explorer context menus' in settings, right click on an item and select
‘Add to Allinkster’ from its context menu.
Advanced:
Single item can also be added from the 'Run' utility in Windows:
Allinkster "entry/entries". Added entries have to be enclosed in double quotes.
Format:
Allinkster “entry”
Some examples:
Allinkster “C:\somefile.mp3”
Allinkster “C:\Downloads\”
In all the above cases Allinkster will automatically classify you entry and show it under the appropriate
category in the Tree view. If you added a web link, Allinkster will automatically retrieve the title of the web
page if you have turned on ‘Auto-fetch web page title’ option in settings (more on settings later).
